Rebranding and new website for Verkehrsverein Lachen

We were commissioned by the Verkehrsverein Lachen to carry out a comprehensive rebranding and develop a new website that focuses on both modern design and intuitive usability. The aim was to present the association in a contemporary and youthful light, while significantly expanding the content and enabling the board to easily maintain the site themselves.

Results – a fresh look and greater independence

The Verkehrsverein Lachen now has a more modern, fresh and refreshingly confident image. The modular structure makes it much easier for the board to contribute content, and the new look strengthens the organisation's positioning in the region. The modular CMS collections make it easy to update events, venues and ideas – just as originally planned.

Over 200 indexed keywords

Thanks to targeted SEO strategies and continuous content optimisation, the website now ranks for over 200 relevant search terms on Google – clear evidence of its increased visibility.

+150 high-quality backlinks

A targeted off-page strategy enabled us to build over 150 strong backlinks. These strengthen the domain authority and contribute to better rankings in the long term.

Domain rating from 11 to 32

Within a few months, the domain trust score has almost tripled from 11 to 32 – an indicator of increased trust among search engines.

Organic traffic: from 1 to 450 per month (peak at 4,400)

What began with hardly any traffic quickly developed into a highly frequented website. The monthly visitor flow rose to over 450 (with peaks of over 4,000), which also led to significantly more enquiries.

The starting point – outdated website and poor visibility

Before the project began, the Verkehrsverein Lachen website had an outdated design, little structure and no clear strategic focus. The content was difficult to find, search engines had little basis for relevant rankings, and there was no SEO foundation. Local visibility in Google Maps or for events was also virtually non-existent. The goal was a relaunch that would not only be visually appealing, but also functional, user-friendly and search engine optimised – so that Lachen would have a stronger digital presence.

At the heart of our approach was the idea of translating Lachen's regional identity into a modern digital experience. To do this, we first analysed the needs of the target groups and the strengths of the association. Working closely with the board, we restructured the content, developed a clean, accessible screen design and combined it with local photo content and clear text messages. It was important to us that both locals and visitors could quickly find information – whether events, association activities or offers from local partners.
